Product Development Specialist

We are currently seeking a Product Development Specialist – Processing, for the Vegetable Seeds group located in Minnesota and Wisconsin, US. As the Product Development Specialist, you will provide scientific, technical, specialized subject matter and product expertise.

Territory includes: Stanton and Mankato, Minnesota; Eau Claire, Madison, and Platteville, Wisconsin

What will you be doing? 

• Planning standard varieties, trial seeds allocation, key trait evaluation for trials and plans with the Marketing Operations Leads and organizing demonstration trials
• Planning and evaluating key trials with key producers and organizing with Technical Sales Representatives
• Collecting trial results and data and consolidating into Territory Trial Reports
• Refining the product positioning for launching varieties and define the key buying factors
• Defining the price list based on price guidance from the Regional Portfolio Lead
• Giving technical support to key producers, leveraging technical knowledge to the Sales teams, and providing after sales support
• Providing investigation support for customer complaints

What gives you an advantage? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Horticulture, or equivalent field experience
• Ability to implement new market and business development plans to achieve profitable growth
• Ability to develop and maintain productive work relationships with associates, dealers, grower customers and related industry personnel
• Ability to travel on a regular basis throughout the assigned territory, and to company/industry meetings as required 
• Position requires up to 80% field travel, within assigned territory
