Job description

Role purpose
• Cultivate a continuous improvement culture by leading the efforts in the value stream and building capabilities to deliver value in the Flowers sites. In alignment with the business strategy, take a balanced approach to HSE, Quality, Service, Cost-efficiency, and Process Sustainability.
•Lead the site’s productivity program and participate in the assigned initiatives to ensure the delivery of the assigned productivity objectives in the most efficient and timely manner in collaboration with the site managers and ad hoc stakeholders.
•Serve the Process Improvement Global Community by collaborating and facilitating knowledge sharing above and beyond the assigned scope in the Global Process Improvement Committee role.

Accountabilities
•Assure the in-site implementation of the globally prioritized initiatives by assessing stakeholders across the value stream to improve the flow and quality from sites’ suppliers to customers, identify and execute targeted improvement opportunities, and ensure the business case reporting.
•Coordinate, budget, execute, and communicate the productivity program's activities to deliver the yearly plan and results. Assure the delivery of the initiatives that will offset the impact of inflation by supporting process owners, validating, monitoring, and reporting in coordination with the site managers and finance.
•Build improvement capabilities, focused on delivering value to our customers in the most productive way by teaching, coaching, mentoring, and supporting teams to develop their improvement skills to ensure the business sustainability in line with the global strategy end-to-end.
•Evaluate the site's KPIs to detect deviations, facilitate problem resolution, and sustain continuous improvement cycles; participate in elaborating and evaluating the business cases relating to these KPIs to ensure the investment and research projects productivity gains are reported.
•Participate in the five-year productivity plan in collaboration with the research team to implement the agreed initiatives efficiently.
•Practice the Compliance, HSE, and Quality policy and contribute to the Management System.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

•Five years of applying continuous improvement, process engineering, or applied research.
•Expertise in a supply chain function preferred, e.g., Production, Warehousing, Engineering, or Quality.
•Extensive communication in English with international teams is an advantage.
•Technical certificates in Process Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, or Supply Chain Management.
•Deep practical training in at least one improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, TPM, etc.)
•Strong data-based problem-solving and decision-making.
•Ability to communicate and collaborate with employees at different levels of the organization.
•Ability to apply project management techniques is an advantage.
•Enthusiast for new digital solutions to existing problems and opportunities.
•Effective Communication / Presentation Skills.
•Proficient user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.).
•Dexterity in statistical and/or analytics software is an advantage (Minitab, JMP, Power BI, etc.).
•Knowledge of, or openness to, new-based digital productivity apps is a plus. (Mural, Whiteboard, etc.).
