Principal Scientist - Crop Protection Chemistry

• You will be a leading contributor to research projects through hypothesis-based design of novel bioactive molecules, synthetic problem solving, and strong working knowledge of physical organic chemistry fundamentals.
• You will integrate experimental and predicted data to design scientific hypotheses to address key research project deliverables.
• You will work in multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with experts locally and globally to discover novel agrochemical solutions.
• You will promote innovation, advance technology and scientific understanding within chemistry and mentor colleagues.
• You will drive continuous improvement in the areas of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), maintaining a high standard of excellence while joining us in redefining HSE and sustainability in our industry.

•  PhD in chemistry with excellent knowledge of organic synthesis.
• Ability to critically interpret complex data sets and build experimental hypothesis.
• Good oral and written communication skills to enable cross-functional engagement in the English language.
• Experience in structure- and ligand-based design and in modulation of physical-chemical properties for compound optimization is a plus. 
• You are passionate about life science technologies, incl. small molecules and new chemical modalities.
• You are energized by applying and championing state-of-the-art science and digital technologies.
• You are creative, curious, have strong decision-making skills and a drive to continue learning.
• You have excellent organizational skills.
