Job description

Coordinate and Steers seamless end-to-end flow of operations across various global P&S functions and customer operations, both within the BU’s and upstream in global SynVep and Synvep  P&S/Business Operations as applicable.

Duties:

  • Secure successful management of all Supply Operations, Logistic processes and Supply planning in the business units belonging to the platform to the benefit of all the customer/markets served from the platform.
  • As part of the Platform management team, take the lead in the global planning & supply operations projects across the platform, and develop and implement structural improvements in the vegetable platform business units supply organizations & processes.
  • Represent the vegetable platform business within global Syngenta P&S organization to assure the intra company supply flows meets the business needs of the Vegetable platform and the needs to Syngenta Vegetable Seeds with a focus on, communication, information, quality, profitable growth and innovation.
  • Develop programs & guidelines for all Syn Vep BU’s to ensure all inventories located within Vegetable Platform Business Units to be managed in line with:
    • BU: QC specs, market inventory policies and S&OP processes.
    • Inventory management process and obsolescence/discard management are transparent and in line with veg platform BU policies.
    • Inventory batch classification and inventory valuation to be in line with Syngenta finance policies.
    • Proper alignment/timing of production release cycles and release budget decisions between Veg Platform BU’s and Syngenta vegetable seeds, to ensure demand coverage and timely and proper planning/budgeting for new seed production/supply against future business forecast.
  • Ensure consistent deployment of the forecasting and demand planning processes and tools/capabilities within the responsible areas, in line with the global target operating model and agreed ways of working and lead associated change management initiatives. (for all Syn Vep BU’s under the platform)
    • Develop/Design and coordinates implementation of recurring standard S&OP process within the Syn Vep BU’s across Supply operations, Demand planning and Commercial functions within each Syn Vep BU.
    • Providing analytical support to guide decision-making and securing timely input to the S&OP platforms.
    • Calculate Forecast accuracy for Business Managers and share on timely basis and continuously motivate them to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Drive Latest Plan (LP) discussions with Business Managers, and Finance partners to arrive at final LP numbers and timely submission.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in submissions and take ownership for data entered into forecasting systems streamlined into the Syngenta business units when required.
    • Liaise with the relevant business managers for the budget exercise and ensure high level data integrity and submissions into relevant systems.
    • Provide analysis at volume- kgs/ks and value - from different databases or dashboards available

Qualifications

Critical Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reporting from SAP, BWH.
  • Computer literate.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Working in teams.
  • process harmonization/optimization.
  • S4H/ ERP platform automation/ functional configuration.
  • Inventory & Logistics dashboard/KPI’s.
  • Digitalization.

Critical Experience:

  • 3 - years’ experience in SAP.
  • Team building and Change Management skills.
  • Supply Operations / Planning / Project Management.
  • Experience in working / leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and or departments.
  • Stakeholder management & strong coordinating & influencing skills.

Additional Information

Salary for this role is $93,800 - $174,200 per year.
