Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Pesticide Metabolism Scientist to support the Product Safety Team in Greensboro.

 

About this Job:

  • Serve as a key scientific contributor in the areas of animal, plant and/or environmental metabolism to ensure the safety of new pipeline and existing crop protection products

  • Coordinate the delivery of global safety studies conducted externally with contract research partners

  • Responsible for ensuring that protocol design covers intended uses and appropriate Regulatory guidelines, understanding and communicating data and results to internal business partners, and producing high quality reports and submission documents

  • Address metabolism-related issues and provide guidance to support decision making for the advancement of pipeline products as part of regional and global teams across disciplines

  • Excellent opportunities to grow in the technical leadership space, with expanding scientific depth, breadth and impact, as well as people management.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S with an emphasis in organic chemistry, natural products, pharmacology, environmental science, or related disciplines

  • Three to five years experience and background knowledge of metabolism and transformation of chemicals in the plant, animal, and/or environmental systems

  • Experience with and demonstrated ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams

  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve or mitigate technically challenging problems

  • Ability to work independently to manage timelines and deliver results, while being an effective team contributor and mentor

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Aptitude with electronic word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation systems, as well as comfort in using electronic systems and databases

  • The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate that they are eligible to live and carry out the particular role in the USA

Preferred Requirements

  • Background in chemistry, natural products, pharmacology, environmental science, or related disciplines
  • Previous experience executing guideline studies for the registration of crop protection products
  • Previous experience in data analysis and/or predictive science and ADME is not required but is a plus.
  • Direct laboratory experience with the isolation and identification of unknown chemistry products in biological and/or environmental matrices
  • Expertise in conducting animal/livestock metabolism, plant metabolism, and/or environmental fate studies
  • Experience in coordinating and directing work being conducted at external contract research organizations
  • Applied knowledge in Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a GLP environment
