This role is the final stage of our Invoice to Pay process and holds the accountability for ensuring we process payments on time to our suppliers as per payment run schedules.

Responsibilities

• There are requirements to work alongside our robotics technology and support transition to other new digital technologies as Syngenta rolls out its I2P strategy.
• Manage the payments schedule for Americas vendors.
• Execute payment runs as per desktop procedures and ensure payments are processed as per internal controls required.
• Apply necessary checks to manual or urgent requests for payment and execute the request.
• Support countries with cash forecasting where required.
• Work together with Invoice Processing team in Uruguay and India to manage exceptions, errors and rejections during payment execution.
• Work alongside the AFO team in order to improve the region’s KPIs
• Follow up with requestors in order to ensure actions in a timely matter
• Vendor account reconciliation
• Control and registration of monthly credit card accruals
• Follow up of bank open items
• Work in coordination with P&S for IC posting and transitory account reconciliation
• Elaboration of reports for different stakeholders

It is indispensable for this position:

• Graduate or undergraduate of Certified Accountant or Administration or similar career.
• 1-2 years’ experience in multinational or local companies.
• Accounting knowledge (understanding of debit and credit, vendor account management).
• English: intermediate level
• Client Service Focus.
• Judgement.
• Execution and Results Orientation.
• Collaboration and Team Player

Desirable

• Knowledge of Vendor Invoice Management system (VIM)
• SAP or Equivalent ERP hands on Knowledge
• Background in accounts payable/supplier payments and an understanding of different payment methods.
