To support that challenge, the Global Parent Seeds team is currently seeking a Global Parent Seed Planning Lead in Slater, Iowa or Downers Grove, Illinois. As a Global Parent Seed Planning Lead, you will guide Regional Parent Planning Leads on Global Parent planning principles and Seed Parent Planning builds.

You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

  • Supporting parent plans and identify opportunities to enable global sourcing 
  • Collaborating with each territory with respective departments, including Planning, Logistics, Finance, Production, and ensure appropriate links exist with long-term and short-term planning processes
  • Supporting the 5-year plan reviews to anticipate future supply constraints and capacity overloads

Qualifications

Accountabilities 

  • Work to harmonize planning standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Identify and support data management and IT solutions to support parent planning and operations
  • Set calendars to support Regional Planners in ensuring end to end planning for mid-long term (12-36 months)
  • Elaborate a production plan, long term at the hybrid and production country level, and associated demand risk
  • Ensure data-driven decision making by developing analytical capabilities and co-develop with Advanced Analytic role to implement Asset Footprint strategy in scope 
  • Engage with other Planning colleagues to prioritize opportunities and coordinate cross regional movements and strategies
  • In collaboration with Seeds Planning Research team, provide the best acreage plan of hybrids per growing area and propose scenarios for production allocation optimizing the costs, reliability, and quality of production


Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Applied Physics or Mathematics
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience (regional and global) in supply chain strategy, network design, supply and demand planning, operations finance and performance control
  • In-depth understanding of Operations Management (Logistics, Supply Planning) and end-to-end Supply Chain Management, Planning and analytical skills
  • Understanding of corporate financial accounting, managerial accounting, and common costing methodologies
  • Understanding of how to build multiple scenarios and business trade-offs for long and short-term view

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate financial accounting, managerial accounting, and common costing methodologies 
  • Understanding or knowledge of SAP system, Salesforce.Com, Demand Tools, or related master data management systems 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product lines; knowledge of customers and distribution channels, and agronomic expertise 
  • Demonstrated experience of working with several functions (production, planning, transport, customer service, finance control) at a country and above level in a multinational company
  • Experience in using software packages (Llamasoft) for supply chain optimization, working with big data, and applying advance analytics tools
