Join our immersive 6-month Packaging Engineering Internship (6 Months) and play a hands-on role in supporting our packaging engineers. You'll contribute to designing, testing, and developing new packaging structures, while also assisting in organizing tests and establishing packaging landscapes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on small projects, prepare presentations, and maintain crucial packaging data sets. Under expert guidance, you'll gain insights into packaging technologies, materials, regulations, and manufacturing processes, collaborating across functions to achieve project goals. Your work will ensure the highest scientific standards in packaging testing and qualification projects.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the packaging engineers to design, develop, and test new packaging structures and components, ensuring accountability for the successful completion of these tasks.
  • Organize and execute packaging tests, taking responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the testing process and results.
  • Establish a comprehensive packaging landscape for different portfolios, ensuring accountability for the accuracy and completeness of the data collected.
  • Learn how to manage small development projects and support the department by preparing presentations and documentation, taking responsibility for the successful completion of these tasks.
  • Establish and maintain master data by collecting and maintaining technical packaging data sets, ensuring accountability for the accuracy and completeness of the data collected.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program (preferably in BSc), with a focus on packaging, materials science, or plastics engineering
  • Previous experience in the packaging sector is advantageous.
  • Possesses an open-minded, problem-solving attitude and works autonomously with initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, structure, and prioritize tasks and work packages.
  • Demonstrates an affinity for data documentation and collection.
  • Proficient in English, with knowledge of German, or other languages being advantageous.
