Packaging Engineer

To support this challenge, we are seeking a Packaging Engineer to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs required for agricultural chemical products.
 

Accountabilities 

• Oversee and manage the complete packaging development process, including creating packaging designs, prototype development, performance testing, and regulatory compliance for agricultural chemical product registration, transportation, storage, and use.
• Provide troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions (procurement, manufacturing, quality, etc.), to ensure a safe user-friendly customer experience.                                                                                         
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
• Contributes to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams ensuring all packaging-related milestones are completed on time.
• Knowledge of package technologies, materials, and testing related to developing new packaging components.
• Implement innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that maximize our competitive advantage and build brand preference.

• Bachelor's degree (packaging engineering or other engineering/science degree with practical packaging experience preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of packaging material and design.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and systematically resolve problems.
• Ability to drive multiple project records from initiation to closure.
• Strong attention to detail, managing change, ambiguity, and prioritizing effectively.                         
• Good project management skills to perform packaging development and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret packaging test data results in an objective manner.
• Able to work effectively in cross- functional teams, and across multiple functions
