About this opportunity:

We are looking for an Order Management Crop Protection Operations Lead to lead, develop and coach the EAME industrial sales order management operations team. You will ensure high service levels and business continuity for the defined area of responsibilities.

You will be accountable for:

·     Co-ordinate the implementation of the order management strategy.

·     Identify, specify and implement O2C business process and improvement activities in Ind Sales.

·     Lead and support the roll out of change projects in close collaboration with relevant functions to drive continuous improvement and process quality.

·     Monitor, control and ensure compliance with direct report responsibilities related to internal and external regulations.

·     Implementation of team KPIs to implement Visual Performance Management and give the team clarity on expectations in terms of performance.

·     Business partnering with commercial functions on operational activities to optimize End to End flow and support new business specific support requirements in the Order Management function.

·     End to end process management and continuous improvement.

·     Ensure business continuity and high customer service standards will be delivered to our Industrial Sales customers.

·     Manage resources, workload and costs within given budget and drive efficiency improvements and operations execution of industrial sales.

·     Ensure understanding of roles & responsibilities and adherence to ways of working.

·     Monitor KPIs, drive corrective and preventative actions to increase customer service level and performance improvement (resources & costs).

·     Key contact for Business to support new and existing business specialties and new business requirements.

·     Implement continuous improvement (lean) and “added value” activities.

·     Drive for simplification and standardization.

·     Support and actively participate in the order management transformation.

·       Manage, support, update and coordinate Syngenta specific training documentation and training execution for direct reports.

·       Accountable for monthly, Quarterly and ad hoc financial and SOX audits on Industrial Sales Organisation.

·       Support and drive cross functional collaboration


Qualifications

Skillset required for the role:

Critical Knowledge:

·       Degree or equivalent working experience in Business or Supply Chain

·       Detailed understanding of Supply Chain & Order Management processes

·       General understanding of financial (Sarbanes Oxley - SOX) & trade compliance

·       Cross-functional knowledge with emphasis on familiarity with Sales and Marketing (e.g. new product introductions, life-cycle management)

·       Foreign trade knowledge and Export business expertise

·       Process design & documentation

·       Excellent process understanding of SAP SD/MM module, or similar ERP system (O2C processes

Critical experiences:

·       Good coaching & leadership skills (e.g. leading a small direct team) ( 3+ years of experience)

·       Export / Commercial / Order Execution (4+ years of experience)

·       Change management and / or Project management experience in cross functional projects and business process design

·       Preference working 3 – 5 years in an agricultural chemical's environment

Critical technical, professional & personal capabilities:

·       Communication, networking across boundaries, building beneficial relationships with key stakeholders

·       Lean and analytical thinking / process orientation / problem solving

·       Customer-focussed and proactive attitude, able to show initiative

·       Ability to understand complex processes and propose improvements

·       Ability to cope with a very dynamic work environment

·       Ability to work under pressure and in difficult situations

·       Strong character, being able to challenge and discuss issues at various levels of the organisation, tailoring the message appropriately for the audience

·       Language: English. Any other language would be a benefit

·       Microsoft Office tool literacy

Travel requirements:
