Operations Specialist - Laboratory Coordinator

Role Purpose

• Manage day to day laboratory operations and support test item material ordering for the NA PS organization and leads the CAPEX process for facilitation of new instrument purchases.

Accountabilities

• Develops, manages, and maintains the system used to collect requests for cold reference test item ordering to support regional Product Safety Science Delivery
• Works closely with the laboratory teams to manage preventative maintenance contracts and agreements to ensure timely delivery of services
• Manages the regional CAPEX program; Accountable for maintaining the budget and processing payments, securing all needed approvals ahead of project progression, entry of project into appropriate systems, and asset transfer and/or disposal as required.
• Manages and tracks the chemical inventory for the laboratory teams
• Manage and place orders for laboratory consumables, supplies, etc. as required
• Manages regional sample preparation, inventory, storage and logistics

• BS or BA degree in Chemistry (experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with enterprise systems: SAP, PRISM
• Organizational skills are critical to success
• Must be able to handle simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy

• Organizational Effectiveness: ability to effectively multitask and work with customers on prioritization of tasks
