Operational Electrical Responsible and HSE Coordinator

The Operational Electrical Responsible and HSE Coordinator, based in Enkhuizen, is responsible for ensuring operational safety during electrical work and projects, performing minor corrective electrical work, and developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental plans within the engineering department. The plans are based on European and national legislation, NEN 3140, and Syngenta HSE policy developed and managed by the HSE department. The role is crucial for guaranteeing a safe work environment for external contractors and internal employees, complying with legal and company regulations, and supporting the engineering department in HSE matters.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure electrical safety based on work plans and supervision
  • Develop and implement HSE procedures for work to be carried out
  • Create and manage risk analyses and control measures
  • Prepare and manage work permits and assess Health & Safety plans
  • Create awareness through training, workshops, and toolbox meetings
  • Follow up on incident management and prepare reports
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members and contractors

Within Syngenta Netherlands, the electrical installation and its associated policy are established and managed by the designated Installation Manager. The Installation Manager is part of the Engineering department, where new construction and replacement projects are developed, budgeted, and executed. This is an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team with a technical background, due to the wide variety of installations, machines, buildings, and processes. The team supports the various business units necessary for breeding and processing vegetable and flower seeds.

Syngenta has several locations in the Netherlands, with its headquarters in Enkhuizen.

To safely carry out work on electrical installations, machines, buildings, and processes, Syngenta is looking for a motivated full-time bridge-builder in the role of:


Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • MBO level 4 + work and thinking level
  • Experience as a Work Supervisor and/or in a comparable HSE role, preferably within a technical or industrial environment
  • Possession of a Stipel certificate for work supervisor low voltage installations is a PRE
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation, electrical safety regulations, and best practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude

Reporting:

The NPcEI and HSE Coordinator reports to the Engineering Manager and Installation Manager.
