As a North American Project Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of end-to-end delivery for assigned projects within the North America (NA) Crop Protection Development (CPD) project portfolio, with alignment to our company strategy and governance framework. Take accountability for the delivery of new active ingredient and portfolio life cycle management projects in NA CPD in line with strategic drivers, and within agreed timelines, budget, scope, and quality. Engage as a business partner with cross-functional project development forums (regional, global). Ensure adherence to project plans and governance within stage gate plan. Maintain the ability and interest to quickly learn the use of Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) digital technologies, identify ways to exploit internal digital tools to enable data-driven decision making, and creatively explore new digital opportunities for the PPM function.

Duties:

  • Lead regional project teams to gather complete, consistent, and reliable project information. Manage resources, timelines, and issues to strictly control the development process. Guide projects through stage gate promotion at Regional and Global Levels. Prepare and archive necessary documentation for stage promotions. Ensure projects undergo required technical and commercial reviews before governance body review.
  • Promote transparency at project and portfolio levels and facilitate fact-based decision-making. Manage resource deployment and risk profile and provide clarity on project progress, milestones, and budget.
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to ensure project pipeline aligns with our commercial strategy.
  • Serve as the primary project contact for multiple key functional leaders and be accountable for stakeholder management.
  • Tightly manage project data in IT tools; promote global standards, methodology, and ways of working aimed at managing and reducing complexity and increasing effectiveness and efficiency in operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s or higher, MBA preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of R&D functions and processes necessary for new product development.
  • Able to champion new digital initiatives and act as a change agent across the organization.
  • Advanced project management training, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent qualification is desirable. Project Management Certification not required but expected within 18 months in role.
  • Minimum 2-4 years work experience in project management; 4-9 years work experience overall in Agribusiness or related industry, preferably including a technical role or cross-cultural/international experience.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Travel – Occasional travel and includes overnight stay, as needed.
