Materials Handler

The plant produces an insecticide intermediate and also a final product for Syngenta.

The plant is computer controlled, via a Siemens Process Control System, and runs as an integrated production team of 15 Chemical Process Technician’s and a Materials Handler team. Duties include;

• Supporting chemical operations across the plant.
• Supporting maintenance operations on the plant.
• Working safely, efficiently & flexibly across the process & plant.
• Carrying out materials movements in line with process demands.
• Supporting the manufacture as part of a flexible manufacturing team.
• Co-ordinating and directing operations for raw materials, wastes & final products. These duties are carried out largely unsupervised, and they are required to decide when the involvement is required at a higher level.
• Discharging and packing of powders
• Tanker operations.
• Performing asset care duties.
• Providing administrative support to the manufacturing team.

• Must be able to work shifts (12 hours, days / nights).
• FLT experience (desirable).
• Experience operating in a manufacturing environment (desirable).
