ROLE PURPOSE  

For the assigned crops:

  • Manage and lead CP (both conventional chemistry and Biocontrol) Product branding, pricing, value proposition, supply/demand forecast optimization
  • Drive continued & profitable market share growth for the assigned products through the development of product brand plans designed to serve customer needs, in a sustainable way
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, partnerships and new GTM options to propose, for reaching new or existing markets with new offers and stories
  • Anticipate potential risks and develop & establish mitigation plans, propose strategic movements to support acceleration of BioC business, and defend CP market share
  • Develops and drive the implementation of Crop campaigns, integrating Biostimulants, designed to achieve the growth and revenue goals of the organization
  • Enhances and communicates Syngenta Grower Program Offers (GPO) value proposition through unique marketing strategies
  • Proactively collaborate, by providing inputs and insights, to Portoflio LCM and Forecasting processes

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Act as the entry point to to Italy CP Product Management for regional counterparts
  • Actively manage the lifecycle of CP assigned portfolio
  • Drive assigned portfolios price positioning to grant profitable growth, ensuring regular monitoring across the year vs the budget, in co-operation with the pricing manager
  • Own country budget, design National Campaign Plans for assigned crops and fund strategic priorities to achieve the sales and profit targets
  • Check consistency between CPN and CPAs, challenging inconsistency
  • Proactively collaborate and contribute in scouting, sizing and negotiating 3rd party opportunities (licensing-in, technology investment/ co-development)
  • Ensure execution of the assigned CP product strategy and tactics to meet the business and financial objectives of the country
  • Long term focus on the marketing 4Ps of the relevant CP assigned portfolio
  • Support CP Marketing Head in Market Analysis, Planning and Strategy development for the assigned portfolio
  • Ensure active participation to SOP cycle to guarantee forecast update
  • Manage and update 5YP forecast via accurate IPlan filling following regional guidelines
  • Collect market trends and competitor movements and embed information into the planning process
  • Support Customer Intimacy and Excellence and MaSE teams in capability building

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

Critical experience and knowledge

  • 7+ years in marketing and business management
  • Country/ region marketing mgmt experience
  • Excellent knowledge of agribusiness markets, crop protection industry and customer needs
  • Ability to influence indirect relationships throughout the global business
  • Technical (field trials etc.) and Branding experience
  • Record of successful mgmt. of people/processes/ territory
