To contribute to the sustainable development of Syngenta Indonesia’s business and operation by driving initiatives aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. As a Management Trainee, the objective is to learn, implement, and enhance sustainability practices, ensuring the company's commitment to responsible and ethical agricultural practices.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies for farming and agriculture operations.
  • Integrate sustainability goals into daily practices, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Lead efforts to embed ESG considerations into decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Monitor and report on ESG performance, identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret sustainability data, producing regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize data insights to recommend and implement improvements in sustainability metrics.
  • Build relationships with farmers, suppliers, and local communities to promote sustainable practices and address concerns collaboratively.
  • Communicate the company's sustainability initiatives effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about evolving environmental regulations and ensure the company's adherence to local, national, and international standards.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on sustainability practices and ESG principles.
  • Foster a culture of sustainability awareness and responsibility throughout the organization.
  • Explore and assess emerging technologies and practices that align with sustainable agriculture.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance environmental and social performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to sustainability issues and work collaboratively to implement risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline with max. 2 years working experience
  • Leadership experiences through being part of organizations and managing events
  • Excellent skills in English, communications, presentation, data statistics, analytics, MS Office and digital platforms
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainability, agriculture, crop protection or related fields is preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in data collection and report writing.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in story telling for campaign narratives.
  • Knowledge of the simple graphics design and familiar with the development of communication assets such as video and infographics.
