Role Purpose 
You will help shape the future of agriculture by:
Being responsible for the management and integrity of data collection in the cooler
Supervising and support the crews in the cooler

Accountabilities

  • Achieves results through their direct reporting staff, by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to breakdowns within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Communicates with operations and planning department
  • Communicate and work closely with logistics department on daily bases
  • Responsible for shipping paper works and communication with all stake holders.
  • Responsible for managing cooler under your shift
  • Responsible for execution of daily and weekly work schedule in the cooler for the shift
  • Accountable for pick-packing and quality control during the shift
  • Leading a team of crew leaders, mostly third-party employees in the cooler
  • Managing, monitoring and communication on performance vs expectations for all employees under your responsibility
  • Responsible for monitoring, coaching, and encouraging employees under your area of responsibility
  • Communication with each individual employees’ performance and their progress.
  • Responsible to advice managers for any disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for enforcing systems, policies, and procedures in your area of responsibilities
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, in your area of responsibilities
  • Control and observe personnel and resources required for your area a head of time
  • Monitor daily inventory for sales and stick requirement and the progress
  • Maintain product quality standards by enforcing Wows and protocols in the cooler
  • Work with other third-party supervisors and crew leaders.
  • Responsible to maintain the right resources and equipment’s, required for your area
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all HSE standards, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Responsible for the management (creation and modification) of all W.O.W.s’ associated with their area of responsibility. Ensuring that all procedures and processes are accurate and up to date.
  • Responsible for supporting the budgeted costs. Support the budget process with Production manager and other senior site managers, ensuring that budget standards and expectations are met or exceeded in your area.
  • In cooperation with HSES, ensure that all personnel have the appropriate training, PPE, and certifications for their roles.
     

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED needed, one-year experience preferred  
  • Competent with MS Office and use of spreadsheets and data systems.
  • Ability to maintain and execute established procedures.
  • Ability to work on detail processes
  • Demonstrated people-management skills
  • Monitoring and maintenance of a high quality service to all stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate and translate customer requirements
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in an ever changing environment
  • Ability to manage own workload on a self-sufficient basis.
  • Problem solving abilities, must be able to make changes to schedules and activities based on current and up to the minute influencing factors.  
  • Flexible work hours.  Will require some weekend and night work.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Mostly working Indoors under various weather conditions and also office environment.
  • 5% Travel.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Fluency in Spanish is plus  
  • Experience with a third party labor provider.

Physical demands of the essential functions:  

  • Ability to walk in sandy soil.  Work in outdoor environment in various weather situations including frost/freeze conditions.  
  • Ability to carry 25 lbs. for up to 15 minutes.  
  • May be required to lift 50 lbs. occasionally. 
  • Capable of working long hours during time-critical periods of the production season.
  • Working conditions while performing essential functions:  
  • Cooler work is subject to cold environment conditions.

  • Bilingual is a preferred
