To support this mission, Syngenta’s Legal Team is seeking a Legal Counsel in Buenos Aires. This role will be responsible for providing broad legal and compliance oversight for Syngenta´s business in South (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay & Bolivia), acting as a legal advisor and business partner for the functions and business

Accountabilities 

  • Act as Legal Business Partner and focal point for Syngenta´s business in South, mainly Argentina.
  • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating simple and complex agreements in several areas, including distribution, supply, services and sales agreements. Manage the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, overseeing the creation, review, approval, and execution of agreements across multiple business units including Procurement, R&D, Marketing, Commercial department, etc.
  • Deliver pragmatic legal solutions for both strategic initiatives and routine operational matters
  • Provide specialized guidance on competition law compliance and commercial practices, including the structuring of customer loyalty programs and promotional activities
  • Monitoring and analyzing critical new legislation and regulations that may impact the business or its reputation.
  • Working with other members of the Legal team in South and in LATAM to develop and optimize systems and processes for effectiveness aiming efficiency and collaboration. Specially, spearhead the adoption and expansion of digital tools and legal technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and modernize legal service delivery.
  • Ability to influence others to drive action and unlock problems, without creating disruption and while defending recommendations throughout the company.

Qualifications

  • Lawyer Degree. Master´s Degree is a plus
  • Minimum experience of 6 – years as a Legal corporate advisor
  • Advanced English
