Role purpose

Support regional strategy management, including Long Term Plan coordination for all business units and functions, M&A projects and Market Intelligence coordination across region.

Accountabilities

•    Orchestrate execution of the strategic planning process across business units, key functions and regions to define the Syngenta Seeds long-term plan (15 years horizon), closely working to enable plan communication globally and deployment 
•    Monitor and advice core strategies and strategic initiatives to enable investment plans
•    Monitor Value Levers for all businesses and functions, including its report for the leadership team tracking
•    Coordinate Market Intelligence activities in LATAM, including area projection consolidation across territories, mega trends and competitors tracking, and regional commitee execution 
•    Produce market oriented assessments through Market Intelligence to support SPM & Licensing activities
•    Execute coordination of all M&A projects for LATAM, including business case and valuation activities, tracking and reporting activities for the region
•    Create and review procedures & processes maps for activities under Strategy accountability
•    Develop tools to organize and report accurate information to support decisions on the various forums where Strategy is part of
•    Coordinate budgeting (expenses) activities and vendors/3rd party contracts under Strategy responsibility
 


Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities
Critical knowledge

•    Background in Life Sciences, Economics, Business
•    Understanding of seeds business environment
•    English is mandatory to ensure ability to discuss and influence in this language 
•    Spanish language is desirable (for Brazilian candidates)
•    Digital fluency is required

•    Experience in strategic planning
•    Thorough knowledge to identify critical issues and engage effectively with people to remove blockers in the progress

•    Ability to takle complex data and transform in clear information to other functions and stakeholders at all levels in the organization

Additional information

•    Travel requirement: 20-30% (depending on based location)
•    Candidate can be based in any Syngenta Seeds LATAM headquarter (BR, LAS or LAN territories) – Home Office and Flex Time policies apply
