Role purpose

Drive the Latam expansion and adoption of SAP Ariba e-Sourcing and SAP Ariba Contracts in Syngenta under Latam Procurement Operations, supporting Indirect and Direct Procurement, including the Target Operating Model, organization, technology and processes and without any business disruption.

Lead the e-Sourcing and Contracting function and plan it strategies in close partnering with business functions to drive “total value” delivery, increase compliance and quality of services, and to eliminate operational risks and increase stakeholder experience

Accountabilities

  • Design, implement and sustain from short to long term, the strategic road map for the e-Sourcing and Contracting function, aligned and integrated with Syngenta Corporate and Global Procurement strategies
  • Partner with all business lines from senior management team to different regional stakeholders internal and external to accomplish the regional e-Sourcing and Contracting strategy
  • Drive and ensure an efficient and seamless execution of e-Sourcing and Contracting services regionally
  • Partner with global Sourcing Category owners, to define and execute the right go-to-market and contract lifecycle management strategies through SAP Ariba, including but not limited to e-RFx and e-Auctions. Champion best practices and increase the usage of SAP Ariba with the aim to maximize total value contribution and return on investment.
  • Drive SAP Ariba system deployment and testing as required for new releases and bug fixes, and communicate changes regional/local stakeholders
  • Define, implement, monitor & execute agreed KPIs for eSourcing and Contracting services
  • Provide training and functional help for e-Sourcing and contracting tools and systems. Act as the senior point of escalation for general user support and problem determination. Up-skill Procurement across SAP Ariba e-Sourcing & Contracts and SAP Integration elements
  • Maintain industry benchmark and best practice intelligence. Recommend and drive implementation of enhancements for all e-Sourcing and Contracting tools and techniques, proactively seeking out market developments, identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification and incorporating into Syngenta working practices.
  • Partner with the Procurement Leadership Team members to effectively plan for future requirements

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and in-depth experience with (SAP) e-Sourcing and Contract life cycle management process & systems on a global scale
  • Strong experience of and expertise in operating model design and implementation
  • In depth experience with service delivery management
  • Procurement background with experience of procurement processes
  • Deep knowledge of interface design and interactions with SAP purchasing module, e- Procurement and contract lifecycle management solution.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills coupled with a practical, commonsense business approach
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Language Knowledge: Fluent in Portuguese, Advanced in English. Spanish is desirable.
