Job description

As part of our LSV activities in EAME, we are looking for:

Key Account Manager France – LSV/ Large Seed Vegetables (M/F)

Role purpose:

Reporting to LSV Sales Head EAME, you manage targeted customer relationships in France, to gain a deeper understanding of their business and business needs to co-develop customized value offers that build a successful and sustainable business partnership, for Beans, Peas, and Sweetcorn crops.

You work with the EAME LSV sales team, to implement the agreed customer strategy, monitor effectiveness and adjust as required.

The position is offered on a permanent contract, based in France/Guyancourt (78), with regular business travel in France, and Europe.

Starting date: 1st August 2024.

Accountabilities

You develop, implement sound value and transactional pricing based on customer perceived value.

Gain regular account feedback on Syngenta performance.

Recommendation of the pricing policy towards the organization.

You manage the strategic relationship between Syngenta and a key account to achieve agreed sales targets, or strategic objectives including processors, large international distributors, and integrated producers for Processing & Fresh market.

Also, you maintain customer relationships and realize high customer satisfaction.

And continually review account’s performance against KPI’s (orders, sales from the account, forecasting, payments & credit control).

Develop Account strategy and key account plans for main international Key Accounts.

Develop innovative, customer driven offers and profitable sales growth from NPI (New Product Introduction).

You provide after-sales support, especially with super complaint handling and coordination.

Reliable information about the assortment, national and international.

Communication about towards customers about seed quality, (Syngenta) quality standards and product forms.

Introduction of improved quality standards and new product forms.

Execute the customer trials as required by Marketing (PDS) and collect NPI data ready for inputting into our preferred trialing data base.

Translate market requirements into tangible pipeline needs as guidance to Marketing.
Launches PLC 7 varieties with key growers and leverages results via demand generating activities, when available following the plan of the LSV Marketing Operation Lead.

Maintain accurate forecasts during Demand Review cycles and adjust the in-season forecasts in cooperation with Supply Planners and Business Planners. Provide New Product Introduction forecasts insight to LSV Product Development Specialists.

Qualifications

Master's/Engineer’s degree in Horticultural or Agricultural or equivalent knowledge gained through proven experience. With 5 to 7 years in sales management / marketing.

Solid experience in the seed industry required.

Ability to act internally and externally as an ambassador and create a customer of choice position that leads external companies to decide to partner with us.

Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.

Proven key account management skills; strong understanding of customer needs, structure, and business drivers.

Understanding of competitive environment, negotiation and influencing skills.

Self-organized and entrepreneurial thinker, with critical leadership capabilities, and  results orientation.

Professional English & French required to work in our multicultural organization (meetings, emails, documents).
