IT BP P&S Seeds BR PY

Purpose

To lead the SE P&S IT strategy definition for the region, aligned with business key strategic focus areas and global/regional IT strategic guidelines.

To define the digital transformation roadmap for each of the P&S functions, with a 3-5 year planning horizon.

To lead the prioritization of the key initiatives for the following year to define the P&S IT Portfolio for the region.

To produce a cost estimation and collaborate with the P&S functions to identify and quantify benefits and build the business case that support the budget request for each initiative included in the P&S IT Portfolio.  Support the P&S functions thought the budget sanctioning process.

To define the budget request needed for the IT operations for the P&S functions.

To do the budget execution tracking for the prioritized initiatives in the P&S IT Portfolio.

To lead IT prioritized initiatives with the business in the IT portfolio.

To provide project and process design and be the link between business / Technical teams during IT initiatives

To engage with clients on continues improvement to enable business processes to be fully effective in the global functions or region.

To manage escalations on incident management

Accountabilities

• Engage with P&S senior leadership to drive IT strategy development.
• Partner with P&S senior leadership in the region and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects
• Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of the organization.
• Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the P&S functions
• Collaborate with management of the P&S functions in the region to develop annual budgets to run daily IT operations and the execution of prioritized initiatives.
• Engage with clients to drive process design and continuous improvement
• Provide process expertise in order to challenge, support, enable and improve business processes
• Identify changing business needs that might lead to the requirement for change or improvements to processes in a domain
• Contribute to the implementation of the strategic direction for each of the process areas together with regional stakeholders
• Support the early idea and design phases of regional and global projects
• Support the implementation of the framework through which the Design Authority teams assess compliance with the global process standards
• Work with the IT LT to establish annual or periodic processes for project portfolio, IT budgeting, business architecture, technology identification, technology sourcing, people and skills development and other IT support activities.
• Support the delivery of the regional IT portfolio with an agile and engaged IT delivery capability in collaboration with territory IT Leaders.
• Point of escalation for incidents for all the IT streams
• Local change requests prioritization for all the IT streams

• IT point of contact as trusted advisor to the P&S senior leaders and managers.
• Ability to influence without authority within IT and at different levels of P&S organization
• Demonstrated ability to influence IT solutions that support and enable business strategies
• Ability to assemble and lead cross functional teams to implement IT solutions effectively and with quality
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and as a result enable the entire IT Delivery team to align business requirements with IT capabilities
• Build and maintain a stakeholder network in your assigned area

• Communicate with impact both with stakeholders as well as clients and collaborate across boundaries
• Ability to effectively communicate through verbal and written methods to multiple levels of stakeholders

  Business Acumen & Understanding of IT Landscape
• Familiar with the business and market drivers that influence an organizations commercial and operational decision making  - agricultural business familiarity
• Maintain an understanding of the IT systems and business processes within your functional area and the interdependencies across other functional areas
• Maintain an understanding of the relationships between assigned business process, people and technology and other Syngenta IT systems and processes
  
  Business Analysis & Solution Delivery Skills
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate into accurate customer interfaces and experiences
• Provide business process knowledge and support for clients across Syngenta
• Lead IT solution design and fit/gap analysis
• Experience in designing effective user interfaces and that contribute to a positive user experiences
• Ability to apply understanding of business processes to IT technologies
• Translate business requirements into requirement specifications to enable the delivery of technically sustainable solutions
