Indirect Procurement Business Partner

2. ROLE PURPOSE

·       The role will be based in India and is expected to cover various sub-categories. This may involve representing multiple sites/SBU (Sales Business Unit) within the country/territory.

·       The role shall interact with sites, functional personnel and regional sourcing teams and ensure the implementation of Global Indirect Procurement Policy and APAC Indirect Procurement Sourcing Process in the country/territory.

• Finish the sourcing of goods and services required by the Business on time, cost efficiently and meeting client’s needs. Such sourcing activities will be for multiple categories.
• Managing the sourcing process including competitive tendering, supplier award recommendation, and negotiating contracts.
• Develop, agree and implement KPIs for suppliers, service levels and supplier management
• To provide local market knowledge / intelligence / expertise for components within the portfolio to stakeholder and other countries, regional and global category managers.
• Participate as an active member in Regional sourcing team initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

·     Develop and provide professional procurement leadership and expertise within the country/territory to ensure maximum value is achieved from and throughout the procurement process for all sub-categories or some categories.

·     Negotiate contracts and maintain day to day relationships with suppliers, including establishing supplier performance measures, conducting regular reviews focused on achieving “service performance and deal delivery”

·     Provide local market intelligence for assigned portfolio including documented sourcing analyses, supply scenario comparisons and supplier research.

·     Demonstrate compliance with company policies and processes.

·     Actively participate in multi functional sourcing teams and projects to drive substantial savings / benefits as agreed with clients

·     Network regionally and, where appropriate, globally with the procurement and internal customer communities and external organizations to capture, share and seek information to aid decision making and development of best practice and delivery of commercial benefits

·     Demonstrate a strong track record of strategic procurement

·     Partner with clients to provide operational procurement support, including developing detailed knowledge of client requirements and appropriate sourcing strategies.

·     Analyze spend patterns across portfolio or category (s) for site and/or country and provide constructive challenge to clients on their spending decisions

·     Effective usage of E Procurement, e-RFx, contract database, software reporting tools and other functional tools

·     Develop and coach any direct report if applicable

·     Dimensions: Purchasing expenditure controlled – Up to US$ 10 M, Number of suppliers managed - 400

4. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES:

Critical Knowledge:

·     Detailed knowledge of procurement systems and tools

·     Ability to extract and analyze internal customer requirements

·     Good knowledge of supply markets and dependent cost drivers

·     Good knowledge of procurement policies and processes

Critical Experience:

·     Above 3-5 years’ experience of working in procurement functional role

·     Experience of working within a global structure is essential

·     International exposure preferred
