Health Safety & Environmental Engineer

Set direction by monitoring plant procedures and processes to ensure compliance and conformity to OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local regulations, liberate potential by analysing incident to improve plant safety and environmental performance, provide a creative work environment for the development and delivery of training programs, and create edge through involvement with all site employees.

Duties:

• Assure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state and local regulations by auditing production units and labs.
• Develop and deliver training to site relating to HSES topics.
• Complete environmental reporting to meet external and internal requirements.
• Review incident reports, identify and communicate trends to stakeholders.
• Write/review/revise Plant Safety and Environmental Procedures.
• Coordinate/lead Incident Analysis Teams for significant plant incidents and near misses.
• Serve as resource to site Safety Teams, resident contractors, and plant functional areas.
• Lead PRA (Process Risk Assessments) at site.

Required:

• EITHER BS in an Engineering field OR 5 years of industrial, chemical or manufacturing plant experience.
• Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental, and Loss Prevention programs either from formal education or experience within the Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing or Agri-Chemical industry.
• Knowledge of TRI, FIFRA, Tier II and Air Emissions reporting requirements.
• Understanding knowledge of Industrial Hygiene practices and processes.
