In Action

In this role, you'll be leading the cutting and young plant production efforts across the diverse EAME region, encompassing Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Your primary objective will be to orchestrate processes, people, and technology to meet the escalating demand for unrooted cuttings and young plants, ensuring they consistently meet quality standards and are delivered on time to customers.

You'll take charge of production site teams, driving them to contribute significantly to both strategic and tactical plans for the region. Your deep understanding of regional business dynamics will be crucial in ensuring production aligns seamlessly with market requirements, maintaining the required quality standards.

 

The Challenge

Your responsibilities will span managing the performance of production processes, both in-house and with third-party collaborators, ensuring compliance with standards while continuously seeking operational enhancements. Collaboration will be essential as you work with stakeholders within Flowers and peers to develop strategies for consistent product quality at sustainable costs.

Moreover, you'll be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with HSE standards and fostering sustainability and quality stewardship within the Flowers ecosystem. This will involve managing risks effectively and identifying opportunities for sustainable practices.

Maintaining robust functional connectivity with key counterparts, such as the Global Head of Seed Operations, Global Head of Seeds Production and the Head of Operations EAME, will be vital for driving long-term cost optimization initiatives within the supply chain.

Critical to your success will be your ability to streamline production operations across the EAME supply chain, foster professional production capabilities aligned with growth strategies, and manage costs efficiently while meeting market demands.

You'll need to possess a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in production management, strategic planning, and leadership.

In essence, this role represents a pivotal position in the operational landscape of EAME cutting and young plant production, where you'll blend strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership skills to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality products while driving sustainable growth and cost efficiencies across the Flowers ecosystem.

Qualifications

Your Profile

The role requires a minimum BSc degree, with  knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and a solid grasp of production-related functions, accounting principles, and the Flowers industry. Experience in production, strategic planning, customer focus, and leadership is crucial, along with strong communication and analytical skills. Leadership capabilities include managing people, identifying performance opportunities, and maintaining high standards. Responsibilities involve managing production, driving functional excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting sustainable production strategies.
