At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge, the Global Vegetable Marketing team is currently seeking a Head of Growth to be located in Woodland, California.

Role purpose: Identifying, developing, and managing partnerships and strategic alliances that drive our company's growth and market expansion.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for creating and managing strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Identify potential partners and negotiate agreements that align with the company’s strategic objectives and financial goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand & customer, product, market intelligence, sales, and legal, to execute partnership agreements and initiatives.
  • Manage the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial exploration through negotiation, launch, and ongoing partner management.
  • Drive business development activities and identification of new business opportunities.
  • Lead the team responsible for the execution of strategies and initiatives related to partnerships and business development.
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance, ensuring that objectives are met and proposing adjustments, as necessary.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking events to enhance business development efforts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the progress and results of strategic alliances and business development activities to the executive team.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align the strategic partnerships with the company's longterm goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a related field, preferably within the relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships and alliances.

Competencies

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a history of building and leading highperforming teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the skill to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Deep understanding of the market landscape, competitive trends, and business models.
  • Willingness to travel as required for partner meetings, events, and conferences
