Head of Digital and Social Media

Join us in Manchester as our Head of Digital and Social Media, where you'll lead a team of specialists to shape Syngenta Group and Syngenta Global Corporate's online presence. You'll craft and execute a comprehensive digital strategy (website & social media) aligned with our marketing and business goals, defining KPIs and targeting the right platforms. Collaborating with senior leaders, you'll enhance our online brand and drive public understanding of modern farming technologies. Your role will involve overseeing content design, campaigns, user experience, and providing strategic advice on best practices. You'll lead content publication activities, stay ahead of digital and industry trends, and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Proven experience in digital and social media management, in a similar managerial role.
• Extensive experience in content development and publishing, using social media.
• Experience in website management.
• Experience dealing with information that is confidential prior to publication.
• Knowledge of online html and content updating tools and content management tools.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of digital and social media specialists.
• Familiarity with crisis communication strategies and managing sensitive content.
• Degree in communication, digital communication, multimedia, or equivalent experience.
• Must be fluent in English, other languages would be an advantage.
• Scientific knowledge about agriculture, biology, chemistry or life science a plus.

Site Details

The role is based in our Global Operations Centre in Didsbury, near Manchester. This is a hybrid contract, with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there may be a requirement to spend up to 3 days per week onsite). The site is a local hub for worldwide operations, ensuring growers, globally, have access to the right product at the right time.
