Job description

The Mid-Level Graphic Designer position will be part of the Global Digital Marketing team. The person is responsible for developing visually attractive and on-brand graphics that leave a lasting impact on our internal and external audiences. Mainly works within existing brand guidelines and designs to version out digital collaterals such as online and social media assts, graphics, ads, illustrations for campaigns, gifs, animations and more.  On top, skills in Power Point are required to be able to beautify and re-design presentations for various stakeholders.
Mid-Level graphic designer works closely with the Digital Marketing team to understand the target audience and resulting needs and bring in their own creative flair to create designs that effectively visualize/communicate strong brand messages. They are focused on creating materials that support the organization's marketing efforts and their designs will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence in a highly attractive but the same time consistent manner.  

Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Creation: Create a visual design from concept to completion for a wide array of different digital collaterals such as online and social media assets, graphics, ads, illustrations for campaigns, gifs, animations, and more within existing Syngenta Brand Architecture and respective product brand guidelines. Design engaging infographics, illustrations, and icons to communicate complex information effectively
  • Innovation: Explore and evolve the way we use Artificial Intelligence to create, create, improve, transform, adjust and modify images and designs to improve impact and value globally. Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices to continuously improve the visual appeal and effectiveness of our content.
  • Creativity: Participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute innovative ideas, and provide creative input for marketing and branding initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Well connected to the rest of the in-house Digital Marketing agency team, especially working closely with other designers to ensure a seamless brand experience. Working also with local market stakeholders across the globe
  • Scalability: Work with templates, help to develop templates, management of assets using our DAM system (file organization/archiving), act as a brand guardian, ensuring best practice adherence to guidelines and consistency across different touchpoints
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs while adhering to deadlines
  • Confident and outgoing with the ability to use own initiative to prioritize workload
  • Solid understanding of working with corporate and or product guidelines
  • Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation.
  • Can learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, XD Illustrator, Figma
  • Experience in working with Artificial Intelligence tools to create, improve, transform, adjust and modify images and designs (e.g., Midjourney, Dall-E, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (mainly PowerPoint) and ability to work in both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows
  • Strong understanding of design principles and techniques (such as typography, colour, theory, layout etc.)
  • Creative, detail-oriented mindset
  • Previous exposure to UX/UI or Data Visualization projects will be considered a plus
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively

To be successful in this role, a Mid-Level graphic designer should have a strong portfolio of design work, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creativity and innovation.
