Syngenta is currently running a Source to Pay Implementation program utilizing Ariba on demand platform for Indirect Procurement. This will be followed by a comprehensive SAP MDG-S Implementation which will be an integral pillar for efficient and effective supplier management across Syngenta group. Towards this, Procurement operations is looking to hire a Global Supplier Capability Lead.

The purpose of this role is to own process design, technology platforms & governance for supplier management.

For Supplier management, this role will be responsible to define, design and operate;

  • Data Governance policies and data quality framework which have global standards, are scalable, are aligned across functions & are best in industry practices
  • Supplier master data process & data model
  • Supplier harmonization across multiple platforms
  • Supplier risk management processes
  • Strategic and operational KPIs.

We all have a critical role to play and add value. Here is how this role will help:

  • Define and design the target state with aim of setting up data governance by proactive business partnering
  • Design and maintain a robust process and data quality control framework to ensure quality Supplier Master Data
  • Set up standard procedures and guidelines for managing Supplier master management thus ensuring that processes are aligned to these standards and are operated compliantly across the globe
  • Define and design key metrics to be reported to senior stakeholders which should give a health check on Supplier master data quality and key areas which needs attention
  • Act as the Design lead for the Global MDG-S implementation project owning process design and integration with Procurement platforms including Ariba
  • Set the strategic direction and drive towards global harmonization for Supplier master data business processes
  • Design the governing principles which will differentiate small change vs. large change and lay down guidelines for Incident management w.r.t to Supplier master
  • Should be able to impact assess the change in data on upstream and downstream activity along with assessing the risk associated with such a change on the connected platforms and support the global projects
  • Creation of change requests for new requirements and getting the approval from Change request board
  • Ownership and governance of supplier management desk top manuals and Operating manuals for business support teams globally
  • Support the Procurement Operations leadership team in the capacity of SME for future releases and changes.
  • Close collaboration with Syngenta IT team and business leads to drive process and technology improvements
  • Implement analytics capabilities to enable measurement and improvement of business metrics through orchestration platforms.

Qualifications

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • 10-15 years of experience in governance and implementation of Master data governance systems and processes such as SAP MDG
  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Proven expertise in data design and governance
  • In-depth experience of SAP Materials Management, Production Planning and Invoice Management modules and processes
  • Should have thorough understanding on SAP Supplier Master data objects (set-up and maintenance)
  • SAP Ariba SLP and SAP MDG-s integration experience preferred
  • Deep Functional knowledge in supply chain for manufacturing, procurement, logistics or order management
  • Understanding of Master Data Life Cycle, and importance and impact of Master Data on Business Processes
  • Deep knowledge of the business challenges & compliance requirements for Supplier master data
  • Extensive experience setting direction for data design and data quality in transformation programs
  • Knowledge of data analytics principles and  experience implementing analytics solutions that enable insightful data driven recommendations and actions
  • A proven track record and experience in a major organization, with complex data sources & multiple system landscape and oversight experience.

Additional Information

We are also open to the role being based in Budapest or Manchester.
