To support that challenge, the Global Seeds Quality team is currently seeking a Global Seeds Quality Audit Process Lead in Slater, Iowa. As a Global Seeds Quality Audit Lead, you will lead and manage the Global Seeds Quality Audit program.

You will help shape the future of agriculture by:

  • Leading and managing processes that mitigate quality risks to Syngenta Seeds when collaborating with third parties
  • Managing and championing the annual and extended Quality Audit plans to deliver benefits to all crops in the Seeds business, end to end
  • Maintaining and developing the Seeds Quality Auditor pool through training and development programs

Accountabilities 

  • Manage and maintain the audit process, in collaboration with HSE, to enable clear principles, core processes, and operational tools to direct and monitor audits and audit planning globally
  • Manage and maintain the Seeds Reliance Audit Management module and user training
  • Develop and maintain risk adjusted Third Party Management processes, focused on quality, stewardship compliance, and effective partnerships between Syngenta Seeds and third party collaborators and seed producers
  • Support Syngenta third party hiring managers to be effective in understanding the Quality requirements when selecting, contracting, and monitoring of third parties
  • Establish and monitor a Seeds quality risk register aligned with Seeds Risk management team

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in plant science or related area – agronomy, seed science, botany
  • 5+ years of practical experience in agriculture related field, preferably within Seeds
  • Solid knowledge of the Seeds business and related processes and products
  • Significant knowledge of quality auditing principles and standards 
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management principles

Preferred Requirements

  • Quality auditing certification
  • Demonstrated Quality Auditing experience
  • 2+ years Quality Management experience
  • 2+ years of business process management experience
  • 2+ years incident and problem management experience
