Syngenta, a leader in agricultural innovation, seeks a Global Production Crop Strategist for our tomato and solanum crops, focusing on indeterminate tomatoes. Join our collaborative team to enhance farmer prosperity through cutting-edge seeds and crop protection solutions.

You'll oversee global vegetable seed supply, develop production strategies, and manage risks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and implementing global sourcing strategies
  • Leading crop release planning and variety promotions
  • Managing new product introductions and M&A integrations
  • Conducting data-driven production analysis
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring IP security and technology transfer

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of agriculture on a global scale. You'll work with diverse teams across R&D, Marketing & Sales, and Regional Production to optimize variety introduction and commercial scale-up, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture / business required
  • Functional knowledge of seed production operations preferred
  • Experience in planning and agriculture production processes preferred
  • Strong IT & project management skills and experience
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
  • Financial knowledge & data analytics
  • Global mindset and experience working in a multi-cultural international environment
  • Supply Chain experience in global seed movement preferred
  • Independent and entrepreneurial mindset, ability to set a clear vision, End-to-End thinker and at each moment understand the impact of a decision on the ultimate customer satisfaction

Additional Information

The preferred location for the position is Enkhuizen, NL, but we could consider candidates in the US, in Woodland, CA, Boise, ID and Pasco, WA.
