As a FP&A Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and managing all financial analysis and reporting processes in scope, focusing on finance support to senior business leaders in the respective area. You will prepare and deliver all necessary management information and analysis to senior executives and key stakeholders. And you will also coach more junior members of the team through expertise in the area of Management Reporting.

We all have a critical role to play and add value. Here is how this role will help:

  • Prepare Syngenta AG Income Statements for Actuals, Budget and Rolling Forecast for Senior Executives
  • Review, validate and consolidate the monthly, Rolling Forecast and Budget cost walks and analysis provided by the global functional controllers to ensure comprehensive and insightful qualitative comments are presented in the Syngenta AG/Corporate lock meetings with senior leaders
  • Prepare critical financial data for the external reporting, quarterly results announcements and Board presentations
  • Post requested regional and function expense adjustments for Budget, Rolling Forecast and as required for Actuals
  • Support the preparation of the monthly and quarterly Management Reports for the Executive Team to ensure the key deliveries and timetable is met
  • Perform data integrity checks related to Income Statements and Balance Sheet
  • Jointly coordinate and manage the process of Rolling Forecast and Budget forecast information (instructions, timetables, monitoring submission, coordinate clearing controls)
  • Act as a reporting expert assisting reporting units with questions while monitoring data quality, analyzing and investigating reporting issues
  • Contribute to development and use of business intelligence tools, data visualization and predictive analysis technics
  • Support senior stakeholders in a trusted and efficient manner while maintaining team reputation and provide support to all members of the Management Reporting Team to help ensure achievement of objectives
  • Build relationships across teams to share and align best practices
  • Influence and challenge to support the drive for productivity gains across the organization through process and reporting improvement/alignment
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis

Qualifications

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Good analytical skills gained through finance education/qualification (min. Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Business Administration/Finance; or any other area plus a professional Finance/Accounting qualification)
  • Minimum 5 years of finance or business controlling and reporting experience in a multinational company
  • Fluency in English is required, any other languages are an advantage
  • Deep and sound knowledge of accounting principles
  • Good understanding of reporting processes structure and systems with the ability to quickly adapt to new requirements
  • High degree of IT literacy to interface databases to reporting framework, in particular a good command of Management Reporting Systems and Excel
  • Ability to understand business activities behind the numbers
  • Ability to handle multiple senior stakeholders, priorities and deadlines
  • Sound professional judgement, effective influencing and good communication skills
  • Ability to manage and deliver continuous improvement
