The Challenge

As a Wheat and Barley Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for following the field production of Wheat & Barley, ensuring the best agronomic grower practice. You will work closely with the Technician team to deliver the production plan for Wheat & Barley production, ensuring that the field is aligned with official and internal requirements, including isolation, genetic purity, and physical purity. You will be required to perform field activities when necessary, advise the grower and manage seasonal workers. You will also need to coordinate and follow up on quality tests, update stock through the information tool, and be the technical interface with all of the production team.

 

Into Action

  • Follow the field production in Wheat & Barley, to ensure the best agronomic grower practice.
  • Work in collaboration with the Technician team to deliver the production plan for Wheat & Barley production.
  • Check if the field is aligned with official and internal requirements, including isolation, genetic purity, and physical purity.
  • Do the field rating from sowing until harvesting.
  • Enter, compile & analyze all the production data, to have a clear view on the production status all along the production cycle.
  • Follow the sowing & the harvest with the plant, in collaboration with the cereals parent seed lead.
  • Manage seasonal workers.
  • Coordinate and follow up quality tests.
  • Follow up and update stock through the information tool.
  • Be part of continuous improvement, proposing new solutions to ensure good levels of quality and quantity.
  • Be the technical interface with all of the Production team.
  • Apply Syngenta HSE rules and make them apply by collaborators
     

Qualifications

Your Profile

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Agronomy (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of agricultural environment and techniques
  • Cereals experience
  • Capabilities to drive tractor, manage sowing machine & combine
  • Good command of English
  • Computer skills (Excel + Word, PowerPoint, SAP, SPIRIT)
  • 3 years in follow-up or observation of plant genetic material
  • Driving license
  • Availability
  • Teamwork
  • Good organization
  • Innovation
  • Continuous improvement mindset
