Purpose*

  • As part of the Global ERP/SAP Application team you would be responsible for design, build and run of the ERP application stack supporting AMS for P&S.
  • You will be leading an internal /external SAP experts’ team and to provide application support to a high standard and ensure all SAP application services for P&S are available within the agreed services levels
  • Act as a single point of contact for P&S domains covering SAP and non-SAP applications support.
  • You would carry End-to-End accountability of the Incidents and Changes from Syngenta standpoint for Production & Supply domains covering support to SAP and EAS applications.
  • Building inhouse capabilities to support the evolving SAP ecosystem as well as to support the simplification of ECC systems in preparation of the S/4 HANA roadmap.
  • As part of the ERP/SAP Application Support Team you would be responsible for design, build and run for new technologies across all domains.

We are looking for an experienced professional with background in ERP SAP with exposure to Supply chain applications and understanding of Production & Supply processes.

  • Describe interdependencies with other jobs / job families / functional areas.
  • Lead the team of Functional Analysts (internal capabilities)
  • Act as a single point of contact for P&S domains covering SAP and non-SAP applications support.
  • Participates in backlog refinement session to provide inputs on change complexity and is accountable for Solution Design & Delivery, coordinate with the squad leads
  • Collaborate with Regional and global IT domains, IT business partners, Product Owners & business stakeholders, and supplier(s)
  • Change Delivery:
    • Participates in backlog refinement session to provide inputs on change complexity and is accountable for H.L. solution design
    • Identify and suggest if a CR needs to be treated as a Project instead
    • Provide inputs on Skillset and Bandwidth availability
    • Prioritization based on projected bandwidth demand
    • Third Party vendor coordination accountability
    • Confirm release dates for priority set by PO
    • Monitor and highlight KPI observations
    • Coordinate with Tribe Lead for skillset and bandwidth availability
  • Incident Management:
    • Collaborate with Platform Leads for troubleshooting of Major / P1 incidents
    • Ensure CSIs are identified, CSI and PM tickets are getting prioritized and delivered
  • Identify opportunities to deliver Small/mid-size projects through DevOps.
  • Manage Escalations and IT stakeholders’ expectations around quality of solution, technical & soft skills in the squad and overall service
  • Drive capability building and upskilling among P&S Functional Analysts
  • Lead, support business /IT driven initiatives (e.g. Quality of life) to emphasize on continuous improvement
  • Provide transparency and reporting to the regions, Product Owners for changes,
  • Contribute towards simplification of the core ECC systems to support the S/4 HANA journey, provide governance around custom code development/elimination/simplification wherever applicable
  • Identify opportunities to drive automation use cases (RPA, AI, ML) in alignment with architects, functional teams (regional or global)
  • Lead, coordinate to establish support models for upcoming applications to support P&S processes e.g. GPD, Toller connectivity, UNITY
  • Support P&S strategic roadmap related to AMS

Complexity: (This includes information about the complexity of the job, influencing, level of stakeholder engagement, regulatory environment, level of change, level of autonomy)

  • Main engagements will be with the regional and global SAP and P&S COE teams, the global business partnering IT functions for P&S and Finance and the squad members of the 3rd party supplier.
  • Understand P&S business priorities and the S/4 HANA roadmap and architecture baseline to support simplification of processes in ECC systems.

The capability combines a strong functional, people management acumen and collaboration with stakeholders in various levels of the organization.

Experience required for the job*

  • Include experience/familiarity with processes or systems, dealing with certain products or services, and/or the experience of dealing with others - both internally and externally
  • Include also previous jobs that are critical / desired to perform in the job
  • Leadership experience in a large, complex global organization with responsibilities for people, process, tools.
  • Experience in streamlining SAP and Non-SAP operational organization.
  • Build and manage a global team with internal and external capabilities.
  • Understanding of Supply chain processes, integration between cross functions.
  • Ability to align and coordinate activities across multiple functions.
  • Strong communication skills in different organization levels.
  • Experience on SAP applications from Production & Supply standpoint.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum and DevOps tools and delivery.
  • You need a minimum of 10-12 years relevant experience.
  • Good stakeholder management and ability to communicate with various levels in the organization is a must.

Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job*

  • Excellent English and Communication skills.
  • People manager, with ability to coach and mentor employees through IT career paths.
  • Able to build strong partnerships with other leaders.
  • Ability to drive improvements and business outcome.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think out of box and come up with innovative solutions.

Experience to be gained in the job

Describe the relevant experience that can be gained whilst performing the job.

  • Include functional experience (like enhancing selling skills) as well as Business/Organizational experience (like working with Leadership Team)    

Opportunity to lead AMS for the largest (P&S) domain, covering end to end P&S scope through SAP & non-SAP applications. Work across business domains globally. Combine technology with business experience and simplification of core SAP systems.

 


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Exposure to/understanding of ITIL practices, Agile/DevOps ways of working.
  • Project management, lean and/or agile qualifications are a plus.
