🍃 🕵️ And the challenge of being an Engineering Manager?

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, passionate about innovation and digital agriculture. You will be an essential part of our team, working on a project aimed at maximizing the yield and profit potential of corn and soybean crops. Your mission will be to lead and manage software development teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality operational products, contributing to the project codebase, improving existing systems, and providing knowledge on efficient development practices. This role requires a combination of advanced technical skills in full-stack development, technical leadership, systems management, and agile methodologies.

Managing and developing technical teams is a key success factor for this role, as well as effective stakeholder management, interacting with business and product owners, and promoting a collaborative team culture.


Qualifications

📎📢 What do you need to do this well?

  • Solid experience in full-stack development, with proficiency in ReactJS andNode.jsor Python.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Proven experience in implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Experience with cloud architectures, especially AWS.
  • Previous experience in leading or managing software development teams.
  • Ability to deliver POCs, MVPs, and conduct technology evaluations following design thinking practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to promote a collaborative and trustworthy work environment, addressing and overcoming common team challenges, such as lack of trust and fear of conflict.
  • Advanced English.

Differentiators:

  • Experience in the agricultural sector or in agtech companies.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms focused on agribusiness.
  • Knowledge of sustainable development practices and precision agriculture.
