Responsibilities/main tasks:

  • Continue to keep the Titan Platform up to date and ensure competencies stay relevant to the business needs. Work with both Sales Effectiveness and Marketing Lead to review catalogues, developing new when needed.
  • Scouting of competencies – external and internal, across business all business units.
  • Manage regional training budget for capability development, ensuring that any additional local spend is recorded and countries continue to work in partnership with the region.
  • Work in strong collaboration with people and organization development and HR, to ensure consistency of existing initiatives, tools, products; and discuss any new approaches for coaching or change management.
  • Deliver regional projects on competencies, role gaps and process needs to bridge the gap between skills for now and the future.
  • Design, deliver and ensure implementation of regional upskill or training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with commercial team to identify key development needs (agronomy, product knowledge, selling, sales skills and competencies) to ensure focus on coaching and key skills linked to KPIs and competency catalogues. 
  • Performance management: support teams with metrics based functional competencies, minimum standards, knowledge testing, assessment, tracking and reporting. Prepare and implement development plans (linked to the Titan tool, Work Day and Degreed).
  • Train the Sales Effectiveness Team to become both facilitators and responsible for the development programs in their geo areas.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience expected:
  • Education: Bachelor/Masters degree in Learning/Development, Psychology, Agriculture, Agronomy Ag-business, Marketing and/or sales management.
  • Min. 5 years of proven track record in Ag marketing, sales or learning development.
  • Impacting and delivering through influencing others, demonstrating an influence-based leadership style.
  • Knowledge of agribusiness, experience in seeds business is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and business processes is essential, understand of the seeds business is preferential.
  • Experience in delivering development or learning interventions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and translate technical information into business benefits.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high degree of comfort with data-driven problem solving.
  • Able to think strategically but also execute end-to-end
  • Able to develop high quality competency development plans to continue train our org in key skills.
  • Excellence in Project and Process Management, leading through influencing and communication.
  • Collaboration within the regional and country teams and external stakeholders.
  • Design/implement effective development strategies
  • Develop/delivers innovative learning programs, bringing in new methods or approaches when needed
  • Actively participate in strategic and seasonal campaign plans
  • Able to use market research effectively to understand commercial team learning needs
  • Customer-centric mindset, ability to think holistically about E2E experience and spot pain points.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with an ability to manage and motivate other team members

Link regional training programs to sales and marketing performance indicators. Contribute to increase productivity and effectiveness of the commercial organization through upskill programs, interventions on performance management and learning programs. Drive coaching/training program for both sales- and marketing organization.
