Role purpose and accountabilities

Projects of Transformation

  • Develop, lead, and support plant automation projects across Europe seed production sites to increase manufacturing capacity, improve quality and/or reduce manufacturing costs
  • Work with vendors on selecting the right technology for today and the future
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define scope of work on capital automation projects on short and medium terms

Technical support 

  • Provide regional support to site LAN hardware for both OT and IT networks including documenting, maintaining, and defining VLANs to drive reliability and efficiency in network performance
  • Work with automation vendors / consultants to develop, improve, and maintain site SCADA software and hardware
  • Support development, implementation, and management of site control system that need to comply to Cybersecurity standards
  • Support basic training knowledge development in the production teams to raise overall OT knowledge

Autonomous and preventive Maintenance

  • Establish and implement automation system preventive maintenance practices across Europe seed production sites
  • Work with local maintenance teams in the processing sites to ensure regular preventive maintenance programs are followed on the site control systems & network
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards; works within site / Country policies & procedures

Troubleshooting and problem solving

  • Troubleshoot automation system issues to determine root cause 
  • Provide support on Root Cause Analysis process (RCA) with local maintenance teams
  • Provide guidance and documentations on inspection, replacement, troubleshooting of automation equipment, keeping accurate records of work performed

Continuous improvement mindset

  • Drive continuous improvement to site SCADA reporting system, to ensure data is collected and visible, allowing for data driven decisions
  • Promotes reapplication culture across the region identifying, collecting, and implementing best practices and manufacturing standards

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT, OT, industrial processes
  • Preferred experience with Rockwell, and Allen Bradley PLC along with Ignition SCADA software Electrical system knowledge and troubleshooting techniques
  • Capability to manage a project across the region
  • Lean six sigma knowledge (minimum green belt or master black belt) or equivalent knowledge to manage/optimize processes is a plus
  • Fluent Hungarian and English language knowledge
