Job description

Role purpose

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in a key role that involves driving process optimization and continuous improvement. In this position, you will collaborate with global delivery performance leads to ensure the effective and efficient operation and delivery of services. Your responsibilities will also include managing relationships with regional providers responsible for delivering HR operations, as well as monitoring operational performance across various HR operations delivery models to effectively resolve escalations.

Additionally, you will be tasked with overseeing the delivery of HR operations administration regionally, with a dotted line responsibility for 47 HR operations leads based in countries and 112 outsourced resources. You will work closely with global operations managers, country HR heads, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to build and enhance regional operational capability and governance across country HR teams within the Syngenta operational framework.

Accountabilities

  • Dual role responsibility as regional owner for performance service domain across all 32 Europe Countries
  • Manage the process optimization and continuous improvement portfolio across the region
  • Lead analysis of volumes, trends and issues to proactively identify process and service improvements across regional HR Operations
  • Responds to service escalations and plays an active role in resolution
  • Act as the primary direct contact of regional HR Operations for detailed delivery performance for nominated Business Units 
  • Establish and build strong strategic partnerships with key HR partners
  • Direct line management responsibility for Data Analytics, HR Ops Advisors and regional SME
  • Monitor operational performance working closely with global HR Operations 
  • Partner with Centres of Expertise on development, implementation, extension, improvement and deployment of global services
  • Ensure strong feedback channels with country operations managers and vendors at regional level
  • Establish strong strategic partnerships with key HR Operations partners
  • Ensure operations are compliant with internal and external compliance requirements including GDPR
  • Support management of Change Requests
  • Management and delivery of a portfolio of operational projects either linked to a service category for the region, or to a specific operational project

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • Deep HR Operational experience, including working with outsourced partners across processes and systems
  • Process optimisation (LEAN, 6 Sigma)
  • Change Management & Customer Experience methodologies (Employee Journeys, CX, Design thinking)
  • Service management with multiple regional and key vendors
  • Knowledge of Service levels and key metrics used to drive performance improvement
  • Subject matter expert on the HR service delivery models, operational processes, business processes and operations technologies
  • Working experience in global organization, preferably in HR domains 
  • Working experience in HR Operations managing delivery across multiple countries
  • Knowledge of HR Systems – Workday knowledge desirable
