Responsibilities:        
            

  • To manage and lead the negotiation of Packaging and Tolling in BRAZIL  (Spend USD 112 mio) including Tollers  contracts and Supply of Packaging Components.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Savings in the Tolling and Packaging Category, Risk Mitigation and Sustainable targets. 
  • To act as business partner to BRAZIL Supply Team, supporting them in on their Strategy and Execution of the business plan. 
  • To work in close collaboration with Global Sourcing Procurement in Packaging and Tolling team, supporting the Global Initiatives, following the direction that matches the overall Syngenta SRM principle and is in line with Syngenta policies requirements. 
  • To establish a strong link and become a clear point of reference for the BRAZIL P&S functions leveraging the existing Direct Procurement Organization. 
  • To Develop Category Strategies and Supplier Strategies for Tolling ad Packaging in LAS. 
  • To support on vendor selection and establish the best negotiation with selected partners in line with Direct Procurement Strategy.  
  • To represent and liaise with all sub-functions of Production & Supply to ensure sustainable implementation and ongoing contract operation. 
  • To make best use of Global Sourcing Organization to gather Market Insights to ensure that the team in the Region is prepared to face challenges and perform the best negotiations. 
  • To shape supply-related aspects of Supplier contracts to ensure P&S compliance requirements, risk mitigation, and ease of contract implementation and operation. 
  • To build strong relationships with, and network throughout, the internal functional stakeholders and the supply chain functions, to enable effective execution and management of contracts, contract performance and product delivery.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Agro Business and understanding of Toller and Packaging market dynamics, or the ability to quickly acquire complex strategic procurement skills. Preference for CIPS of similar professional qualification. 
  • Business partnering experience in a large multinational / multicultural organization. 
  • Proven project team leadership (geographically dispersed and cross-functional with proven results). 
  • Excellent team leadership and well developed on soft skills.  
  • Fluent in English with good knowledge to interact with multiple cultural contacts around the world. Spanish is also desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills in order to influence with senior internal stakeholders and to interface with suppliers. 
  • Be an active team member and contribute to the Area Development. 
  • Experience and good understanding of Syngenta Production & Supply functions and ways of working, in particular Logistics, Supply Chain management and Finance. 
  • Good understanding of Syngenta's business and our competitors.
  • Business management, particularly financial, legal and contractual aspects of procurement. 
  • Knowledge on Sustainability Good Practices.
  • Business ethics and corporate governance.
  • In depth knowledge of external trends and current best practice including SRM and Contract management.

Additional Information

  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the Brazil 
  • Full time/ Permanent
  • Location: Paulinia – SP/ BRAZIL   
  • Domestic and international travel up to 20%

Two years in current position preferred.  Candidates who have been in their current position a minimum of one year will be considered if they have the approval of their current business unit leader and hiring business unit leader.
