At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds, crop protection and professional solutions innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers and growers. To support this challenge, Syngenta’s Digital Platforms SPS NA team is currently seeking a Digital Platforms Marketing Manager.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement go-to-market strategy for Digital Platforms products and services.
  • Develop marketing plans, product positioning, sales programs, market communication and activities.
  • Assure that Digital Platforms products and services are positioned to succeed in a quickly evolving market.
  • Ensure clear coordination with sales, customer service, technical service and other SPS teams on go-to-market plans and programs.
  • Effectively utilize allotted resources to maximize product positioning across target markets.
  • Analyze and report regular sales and market activities to support effective business planning efforts.
  • Forecast revenue, cost of goods, and inventory requirements.
  • Track competitive activity, analyzing market size and share.
  • Deploy allotted budget to implement marketing plans.
  • Actively pursue understanding of customer needs and uses for the technology.
  • Will manage a team of direct reports.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required for this role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role (preferably in Business Marketing and/or Sales).
  • Proven success developing marketing plans, strategies, and tactics.
  • Up to 25% travel is required for this role.
  • All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship support from Syngenta.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with application-based productivity software across multiple operating systems.
  • Experience in digital communication media, e.g. social media.
  • Ability to learn and operate different digital platforms, e.g. operating systems, desktop/mobile phone/tablet applications, firmware and hardware equipment.
  • Knowledge of agronomic principals for growing plants. Turfgrass and ornamental plant knowledge preferred. Golf maintenance awareness, or willingness to gain awareness, preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Willingness to continually learn new skills valuable for becoming a successful marketing manager.
