Deputy Manager Production

Accountability & Responsibility:
 

• Comply and Maintain Syngenta HSE policy, global HSE guidelines and site HSE protocols for own and shopfloor team
• Report any incident, near miss, hazard, unsafe acts & observation and consult with your supervisor on any safety related matters
• Comply and maintain Syngenta Quality policy and Global Q-CoP guidelines with a consistent emphasis on quality as a key enabler to deliver customer value.
• Generate and issue instructions to the factory shop floor and facilitate execution of production instructions by allocating appropriate resources.
• Prepare cascade and execute production plans and adjust operational activities by situation assessment according to available information and resources for optimum production performance (manpower, material and machine) and production attainment.
• Plan, coordinate and follow-up maintenance activities viz. routine, periodic maintenance and Changeover / shutdown activities.
• Control cost of production by efficient management of available resources as per standards and safeguarding quality and safety of people and products.
• Ensure product and process compliance and adherence to Syngenta CoP
• Measure, analyses and control line performance and labor variance by using available systems / tools.
• Measure, analyses and control material usage variance (raw / pack materials and energy) by using available system / tools.
• Review process failures and execute continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities, accessing proposals and implementation.
• Review and feedback to direct reports of their performance against their principal accountabilities and behavioral competencies
• Handle conflicts (if any) Professionally
• Conduct trainings, workshops and shopfloor and peer capability development programs
• Maintains professional and collaborative relationship with internal/External stakeholders, employees union (CBA).
• Deliver continuous improvement projects as assigned

Education: 

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Critical Experience :

• 7+ years’ experience in manufacturing functions in Chemical & FMCG industry
• Should have exposure handle shop floor people and shift operation

• Good communication skills for collaboration with multiple stakeholders and colleagues from different cultures, regions, educational backgrounds, functional areas, hierarchy levels and ways of working.

• Self-driven individual with high level of energy, pro-active management style, independent and with strong initiative “getting things done” effectively and quickly.

• Someone who able to drive change, work independently and set own priorities
