YOUR CHALLENGE

We are seeking a talented Demand Planner to join our Production & Supply Chain (P&S) team in Milan. In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our supply chain operations run smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably, supporting our mission to transform agriculture through innovation.

As the Demand Planner Italy, you'll be at the heart of our European Supply Chain Network, executing effective demand and supply planning activities. Your analytical skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams will be crucial in representing the most likely sales scenarios.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate collaborative Demand Review processes with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to arrive at consensus unconstrained sales forecasts based on data, statistical forecasting, and sound assumptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecast key performance indicators (KPIs) through root cause analysis and process enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate demand and supply plans in our systems, reflecting events like consignments, giveaways, and planned returns.
  • Define and maintain disaggregation ratios to reflect expected sales patterns (Forecasting Tool at SU/sales area/Month; APO DP profile at SKU/Warehouse/weekly level).
  • Balance demand vs. supply plan, considering product categorization (A, B, C) and supply chain responsiveness (production campaign, allocation, binding period, etc.)
  • Create and manage purchase orders with plants and third-party orders, following guidelines and internal policies.
  • For tolling planning execution (third-party manufacturing sites):
    • Create bill of materials.
    • Define annual demand requirements.
    • Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning.
    • Manage materials planning and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee direct deliveries, consignments, returns to Supply Chain EAME, and combi/twin packs sourcing based on supply strategy.
  • Prepare and update artworks according to legislation and production needs.
  • Manage inventory, including analysis of slow/no movers.
  • Update SKUs on Material Master Data on GSAP/SAP4Hana & IBP, according to PLCM (Product Lifecycle Management).
  • Act as the in-country touchpoint for Europe Supply Chain planners.
  • Contribute to supply chain projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering or a any other Engineering field.
  • Between 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management/operations and in demand planning.
  • Knowledge of planning cycles, sales cycles, production, and processes.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems like SAP, APO, GSAP, and IBP (experience with GSAP and IBP is a plus)
  • Proficient/advanced usage of Excel.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to conduct advanced supply chain analysis
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with key stakeholders in plants and M&S (Marketing & Sales)
  • Project management and team collaboration skills
  • Fluency in Italian and English (B2 or higher certification level)
