Purpose:

  • •    Provide E2E data quality control for both IH and Ext trialing activities and all data capture related or other associated activities over the season, ensure continuous data monitoring for completeness, conclusiveness and for other qualitative measures and KPIs as well such as timely delivery
  • Support the CPD Team in coordination and implementation of Biology activities associated with EAME projects development, registration and launches; and support the Biological Dossier Specialists in preparation and compilation of BADs and dRRs according to EAME project milestones
  • Act as technical expert for field trial data systems and processes in service of trial & data quality and in support of the EAME CPD and CRO teams. Sharing good practice, managing the flow of data and monitoring its completeness and quality. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations, CPD systems, tools & processes from the field to the dossier with a strong focus on trial data quality & project delivery.  
  • Support digital transformation and automation in all areas, be ambassador of new technologies in user communities and represent user needs in discussions with data science team and product owners
  • Provide end-user training for CPD Trialing and CRO community 
  • First level support for end users, internal and external, and interface to RDIT for various BITS products 
  • Work closely with the PB supports community and New Technology and Data Science Team  

Accountabilities:
Product Biology Support:

  • Indication team support
  1. Work closely with selected indication team, participate in main meetings and trial visits
  2. Understand pain points and discover possible improvements
  3. Facilitate improvements through discussions in the team and transferring improvement needs to new technology lead / product owners / data science team
  • Project and resource planning:
  1. - Provide consistency and quality of data in/from planning tool in coordination with PB's and Dossier Specialist
  2. Provide analysis and guidance for effective resource allocation
  3. Monitor in-season delivery and quality of trial data
  4. Support Product Biologist in data mining for the EAME results and in preparation of EAME Technical Launches
  5. Participate in main technical meetings (EAME results meetings, planning meetings ...)
  6. Support adjacent activities, e.g., resistance monitoring activities, deployment of sensors, new trial types
  7. Providing end-user training for CPD community
  • Biological dossier preparation:
  1. Provide data mining for RTMs / TPLs / BDSs in accordance with requirements of the case (results meeting, planning meeting, launch documents, BAD preparation etc.)

Assist Biological Dossier Specialist in BAD and dRR compilation (i.e. data formatting, tabulation, construction of reference lists etc.)

  1. Ensure 2nd level data quality check in accordance with requirements of the Biological Dossier 
  2. Ensure uploading of reports in support of BAD/dRRs in Veeva according to Indication team submission schedule
  3. Peer review of contracted BAD/dRRs for "FORMATTING" in accordance with agreed timelines and project plan.
  4. Liaise with EPR Specialist for individual Biology dossier build
  • Trialing Data Management

•    Trialing data quality & delivery: 

  1. In-season trial data flow coordination, including publication of protocols and monitoring of data delivery, regularly in season as the trial progresses and at interim and final report dates. Ensure timely delivery of data to end users 
  2. Driving improvements in trial data quality with optimal use of the system possibilities and automations (Study Rulesets, validations, ARM improvements) and active monitoring of data quality and feedback to trialists and CRO 
  3. Identify improvement opportunities and share with trialing / new technology / data science teams / product owners
  4. Assessing data quality in trial reports, ensuring completeness & accuracy of data in the course and at the end of the season 
  5. Managing specific requests and corrections in line with GEP regulation
  • Trialing and CRO support 
  1. Sharing good practices and developing guidance documents & training material. Ensure effective data and knowledge sharing using Syngenta tools (BITS, ARM, GDB, and others) by user support and monitoring 
  2. Supporting CRO managers, external & internal trialing leads and trialing teams in trial allocations, progress monitoring, KPI assessments (KPI13 and trialing operational KPI) to measure performance in delivery and provide feedback to trialing teams and CRO

 


Qualifications

Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement:

  • Expert user of R&D tools (e.g., BITs suite, Smartdoc, Veeva, SharePoint, Spotfire, BioDesign, BioAnalytics)
  • Key user of selected R&D tools – provide trainings, participate in product team meetings and provide user support
  • Ensure a good technical information flow within Development and relevant outside functions.
  • Pursue opportunities for improvement in processes, tools, ways-of-working in close collaboration with Digital team and other relevant functions
  • Support digital transformation and automation in all areas
  • Be open, proactively look for best practices and methods which can help improving data collection and quality
  • share and implement best practices across teams (indication / data quality / trialing …)

Subject Matter Expert (SME):

  • EAME representative in selected BITS product teams and other digital initiatives
  • Collecting and defending EAME needs and requirement for digital initiatives and further development of Syngenta BITS & ARM tools 
  • Working closely with other regions’ CPD representatives within the product team to agree on priorities and adequate of development resources allocation, in line with the roadmap and product vision
  • Contributing to the definition of solutions and prioritization of BITS improvements and bug fixes with RDIT and IT providers
  • Rolling-out and training of new systems, improvements, and associated ways-of-working
  • Influencing cross-product solutions development and collaborating with other BITS products team to agree on best options.
