We are currently seeking a Customer Account Specialist for the Customer Service team in Field-Minnesota or remote. As a Customer Account Specialist, you will communicate with the key internal stakeholders and customers.
 
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Managing assigned accounts and offering a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of order management and fulfillment transactions for Seed accounts
  • Demonstrating extensive knowledge of Syngenta sales programs and policies
  • Anticipating situations and developing approaches that maximize business opportunities
  • Proactive finding new ways to build he clients’ business and growing accounts
  • Supporting and collaborating with business unit management in achieving targeted goals to maintain renewal business
  • Support and collaborate with business unit management in achieving targeted goals to maintain renewal business

Accountabilities 

  • Communicate with key internal stakeholders and customers
  • Assist in non-Service Center Representative roles within the Department as business changes dictate
  • Understand Agronomy and product positioning in marketplace
  • Understand areas of Crop Protection, Seeds, and Agriculture industry
  • Identify business opportunities to develop and implement required tactics
  • Handle routine and complex situations on own with minimal supervision
  • Fulfill customer inquiries, orders, and delivery requirements (Transportation, Planning, Distribution, and Technical)
  • Understand the financial impact of decisions
  • Visit customers and attend Field Days and Sales meetings
  • Participate and contribute to external departmental teams

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred: Agriculture, Business or Accounting, required High School diploma
  • Significant understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, and the competitive Seed Sales environment
  • Passion for meeting the needs of our growers and channel partners
  • Knowledge and understanding of materials planning, inventory management, Logistics and Supply Chain Process
  • Extensive knowledge and use of business tools used in Customer Service Center 
  • Knowledge of SAP system and ability to recommend enhancements 
  • Knowledge of database query and reporting

Preferred Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver creative solutions to deliver for the customer and drive results
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Develop and share best practices with Customer Account team   
  • Ability to effectively deliver results with cross functional teams
