We have a Flexible Work Location approach and this role can be based in Guelph,ON, Calgary, AB or remotely across Canada. 

What will you do:

• Accountable for supporting the development and execution of customer focused events functioning as a key collaborator to ensure the integration of sales and marketing activities
• Lead customer event planning and execution to deliver a meaningful customer experience in a consistent and collaborative manner
• The key contact with industry stakeholders which include; vendors for events, sponsorships, and promotional items
• Lead the planning and implemention of all activities related to the successful execution of events which include tradeshows, meetings, tours and webinars / virtual events
• Utilize project management skills to lead campaign teams to plan effectively and execute with excellence to reach agreed goals on time
• Be a key contact with internal stakeholders for campaign and event support
• Responsible for invoice management, payment and budget management
• Remain abreast of the latest trends in customer interaction platforms and sponsorships to be able to provide recommendations on which to pursue / support

• B.S. degree in Agriculture, Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management or related discipline
• 2+ years in event management and/or marketing communications
• Project Management designation or experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines through Project Management best practices
• Initiative, results driven, focus on meeting or exceeding customer needs.
• Ability to effectively interact and collaborate across functional groups to achieve desired results.
• Skillfully plans, organizes and monitors activities and plans to meet deadlines
• Must be an excellent team player
• Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe, email, and knowledge of webinar platforms
