Role purpose

• To manage trials activities in Malaysia and deliver proper trial planning and SOPs.
• To evaluate new technology and AI’s through series of reliable and quality of on and off farm trial, data collection and analysis based on approved protocol to ensure best performing technology and AI commercialized in the right segments in effectively cost and timely.
• To provide information and recommendation on technology and AI to commercial team and other tecnical support to related business unit for succesfull product commercialization.
• To be a coordinator for scientific reports of trials as well as developing knowledge dedicated to a product biology in assigned region
• To evaluate new technology and AI through series of reliable and quality of on and off farm trial, data collection and analysis based on approved protocol to ensure best performing varieties, technology and AI commercialized in the right segments in effectively cost and timely.
• To provide information and recommendation on technology and AI to commercial team and other tecnical support to related business unit for succesfull product commercialization.

Accountabilities

• Key interface PE, CPD, CU, Product Biology in Planning meeting, Country Result Review Meeting, CCPT and customer complains
• Trialing personnel staffing align with the geography and discipline/expertise where the trial load placed
• Capability assessment of trial organization & mapping the trial organization capacity-capability development plan through training required
• Continuously propose, test and implement initiative and technology usage to improve quality and efficiency of trials.
• Budget/expenses visibility for opex and capex required to deliver the project in most efficient ways
• Responsible for trial execution as per plan agreed (time/season and geography), delivery of trial objective as provided by PE Crop manager/ CPD in SOP by providing quality data and feedback from field trial as required
• Set up the field trial to match the trial requirement, secure the agreement with cooperator to ensure scientific risk is secured, payment to cooperator align with company policy, HSE principles is followed and trial maintenance delivered in the best way as expected.
• Update the trial progress and communicate issues or concern which may have impact on the trial quality or delivery of the trial objective to CPD and relevant stakeholders to work on the remedial action.
• Asses the trial quality delivery versus expected objective, provide feedback and analysis to ensure remediation action taken along with CPD and relevant stakeholders
• Responsible for trial data input into the system in timely manner after trial completion as required by SOP.


Qualifications

Critical knowledge

• BSc in Agriculture or Crop Protection is a must
• Knowledge on agronomy and pathology/entomolgy of designated crops and area
• Principles of statistic and data management
• Technical expertise in conducting trial/Trial management
• Principles of HSE in handling pesticide

Critical experience

• Working with research institution, dealing with scientist, farmers and group of farmers
• Field experience for product selection, pesticide application and safety
