About this opportunity:

We are looking for a CP Master Data Manager to join our team in Manchester. You will orchestrate P&S master data activities for complex master data scenarios across the lifecycle of the product ensuring impact on operations is well understood and considered. You will define and maintain policies and processes for P&S master data scenarios across the end-to-end Syngenta supply chain.  You will work with the wider master data team to define and maintain organisational and engagement model with other functions across Syngenta and external partner companies to support complex master data scenarios.  You will manage and deliver specialist master data related project and program activities & you will contribute to large scale transformation programs as a representative of the master data team.

Accountabilities

·       Act as subject matter expert on P&S side for complex master data issues across the lifecycle of the product

·       Act as product owner for defined master data platforms and lead continuous improvement activities for next generation design

·       Deliver P&S master data expertise in projects and programs with impact on master data creation and change processes

  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives with particular focus on removing complexity and streamlining master data operations. 

·       Define and ensure adherence to global standards and policies for master data scenarios across P&S

·       Working with cross-region and cross-function to establish global standards for master data and ensure adherence to the defined standards


Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities:

Critical knowledge:

·       Ideally Master degree in technical, engineering or supply chain management or equivalent experience.

·       Experience in Master Data Management and understanding of the complex master data structures in the busines including how they impact operations

·       SAP R/3 and SAP MDM-m/ MDG user

·       Project management experience

Critical experience:

·       Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in supply and/or operations roles with experience of master data management

·       Experience in working in an environment with complex master data structures

·       Experience managing relationships with 3rd party service providers

·       Proven track record in process management and simplification

·       Lean / six sigma experience

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

  • Excellent analytical thinking and planning ability
  • Excellent communicator and ability to transform opinion and ways of working
