Job description

Purpose:

  • Ensure effective and efficient management of stocking and physical distribution of goods from warehouses/tollers toward final customers, accordingly to P&S strategy and in compliance with Regulatory, local Laws and Syngenta standards.  

Accountabilities

Be accountable for daily logistic operations, in particular:

  • Define and adjust proper warehousing capacities
  • Manage logistics providers in line with business objectives
  • Organize daily warehouses replenishment plans, based on procedures and products availability
  • Ensure correct management of goods inbound movements, including compliance to accounting rules and procedures
  • Support Customer Service to solve shipment related issues
  • Monitor distribution and warehousing spending, ensuring proper provisioning and allocation of transportation expenses
  • Verify the quality of logistic processes and measure relevant KPIs to ensure compliance to company standards with particular regard to:
  • Warehousing operations, inventory management at secondary warehouses, accuracy of transactions on WMS (Click) and SAP
  • Service level of logistics
  • Correct application of shipment costs recharge policy to customers
  • Ensure that providers operate in compliance to existing legislation (eg. Legge Seveso, ADR, etc..) and to Syngenta policies regarding HSEQS policy.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial policy of the Commercial Unit, HSE requirements, local legislation and competition law, all relevant Syngenta processes and policies

• Indirect reports: From 1 to 20 (related to external warehouses and 3PLs)

Qualifications

  • +4 years in logistic operations
  • SAP and WMS advanced knowledge
  • Cost management
  • Stakeholders’ management (3 PL, commercial)

Knowledge of the agrochemical sector will be considered a plus

  • Educational level: Master’s degree in engineering management or in Logistics/Operations & Supply Chain Management
  • Fluent in Italian, English
  • Advanced software skills (MS office, SAP, WHM).
  • Customer Service mindset
