  • Responsibility for the HR team’s statutory/regulatory duties across Central Europe region (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltic countries) ensuring there is appropriate focus and governance in place to monitor and manage compliance
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of HR personnel in line with Syngenta philosophy to deliver the people plans within the allocated resources, shaping and changing resource allocation as appropriate in line with business needs
  • Champion, implement and maintain an effective communication strategy for employees
  • You will oversee all aspects of HR including recruiting and retention, talent management and organizational development, labour relations, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance with all laws and practices applicable to those areas
  • Be not only a custodian of employee experience and partner with the Leadership team to positively impact engagement and retention rates but a change agent in this challenging environment
  • Engagement – create environment and conditions for strong sustainable engagement of all employees by building on Syngenta Backbone, Safety culture, values and leadership commitments. Build confident, competent, open to change, proud and motivated CP community that knows how to deliver and excel
  • D&I – drive for increased diversity in gender, generations, cultures and experiences by creating stronger inclusive culture, visible senior leader engagement and tackling unconscious bias
  • Change and Agility– act as vocal and present change champion for large transformations and key change projects. Build individual and organisational change and agile capabilities
  • Working collaboratively with central HR functions, conducting talent reviews and maintaining robust succession and attraction plans that meet immediate and future workforce demands
  • Drive the delivery and communication of new HR initiatives, policy and procedures and participate in regional projects as they arise

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field
  • Significant work experience gained as a Human Resources Business Partner within an international corporate organisation, including 3-5 years in a people management role ideally
  • Experience working in close collaboration with headquarters teams in a highly matrixed organisation. This experience would also have involved partnering with business leaders to implement several key strategic HR projects that have delivered measurable value for the business
  • Experience of leading and developing an HR team
  • Track record of successful coaching and supporting leaders to achieve people objectives
  • Successful management of operational HR policies and processes in a global organization
  • Experience of developing and implementing Human Resources initiatives in line with overall regional/global steer, including business change management projects
