CP Global Hub Finance Controller (m/f/d) 

Role Purpose: 

In this newly created role within the Swiss Finance Operations team you will contribute to the design and implementation of a new, sustainable Crop Protection Hub Operating model. This would include in particular:
•    Assessing the change impact on Finance and establishing the steady-state Finance set-up of our Crop Protection Global Hub model
•    Responsible and accountable for coordinating the Crop Protection Global Hub related finance processes and controlling activities
•    Ensuring hub compliance of our intercompany transactions to the Group Transfer Pricing policy and guidelines as well as other compliance and internal control standards

You will also provide general support to the Head of CH Finance Operations and Controlling in various ATR (Accounting to Reporting), controlling and project activities.
 

Accountabilities:

•    Shape the Crop Protection Global Hub Finance Controller activities. Build the necessary end to end hub process knowledge within the Swiss Finance Operations teams and ensure new ways of working get embedded.
•    Establish relationships and forums with business and finance teams to efficiently coordinate and manage end to end finance activities of the hub.
•    Ensure the Crop Protection Global hubbing model is applied consistently across intercompany transactions and that structures are appropriately supported by contracts and internal controls. Manage finance hub compliance aspects.
•    Ensure appropriate accounting policies and financial controls for intercompany flows are in place to support the integrity of the actuals. Provide financial guidance to the business and other functions.
•    Support the planning, reporting and controlling of intercompany hubbing flows.
•    Contribute to developing the Syngenta Crop Protection Global Hub model in close cooperation with the business (Production & Supply, Order Management, Group Transfer Pricing).
•    Suggest and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives for the Crop Protection Global Hub process. Be a change agent for improving financial processes and establishing efficient, standard procedures.
•    Provide operational and project work support to the Swiss ATR team. Contribute to a variety of tasks within the ATR and controlling area, such as:
      o    Statistical submissions to governments and national banks 
      o    External audit query response
      o    Process improvements and documentation 
      o    Month-end close support and new month-end close orchestration tool
      o    Month-end close support and new month-end close orchestration tool


Qualifications

Requirements: 

•    Relevant degree in Finance and/or background of working in multinational team with 5-10 years post qualifying experience in relevant roles
•    Basic accounting skills and good working knowledge of IFRS
•    International reporting experience including legal entity accounting and controlling
•    Advanced ERP system experience (ideally SAP)
•    Understanding of global business operations, intercompany transactions and related concepts, in particular Production and Supply, Finance,  Transfer pricing
•    Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to influence in a collaborative manner
•    Proactive, hands on person who can cope with changes and ambiguity
•    Ability to work in multi-cultural environment and collaborate effectively beyond organizational and functional boundaries
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a data driven mindset 
•    Fluent in English, German and French is a plus
